Mastiha - a unique resinous substance is secreted from the trunk and branches of the mastiha tree, flourishing in a unique place on the planet - Mastihohoria, of Chios island. Once it solidifies, it acquires a crystallic form and a special aroma that makes it unique. The crystallic mastiha is crushed into powder for easy use in cooking or confectionery recipes. It can also be used in order to aromatize custards, ice-cream, panna cotta, ravani, brioche, biscuits and bread.
